Tom Kime has an insatiable appetite for his craft working in some of the most famous restaurants in London, including Terence Conran’s Le Pont de la Tour, and The River CafĂ©. He worked with celebrity chef Rick Stein at the Seafood Restaurant as well as the award-winning restaurants Cicada and Darley Street Thai in Sydney. He wrote and presented the eight-part television series, Our Man in Vietnam and a second series on Thai food. Tom’s catering company creates, bespoke private parties from Royal Thai banquets, to celebrity media launches. His clients include A-list celebrities and royalty from Great Britain and Saudi Arabia. He has set up two acclaimed restaurants in London and Malta both well received by London’s food critics and in the press. He is currently working on a new restaurant project in the Hunter valley to open in 2007. In late 2005 Tom’s first book Exploring Taste and Flavour was awarded the prize of ‘Best first cook book in Britain 2005′ by the World Gourmand Awards. In March 2006 Exploring Taste and Flavour was nominated as a finalist in the Chef and Restaurant category in the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) awards in the United States. Tom writes regular articles and recipes for Olive and BBC Good Food magazines. Tom’s articles have also been published in The Sunday Times’ Style magazine, Food Illustrated, BBC Good Food, Food and Travel and Olive. He has written articles for the Guardian and the Independent on Sunday Travel supplement. Articles on Tom have also appeared in the Sun Herald and the Sunday Telegraph in Sydney. His second book Street Food published by Dorling Kindersley already out in the UK, was launched in Sydney in July 2007. Asian Bites, also with Dorling Kindersley was published in 2007. Tom’s fourth book entitled Tom’s Table was published in the UK by Paragon and was voted Best Entertaining Cookbook at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2008. Tom’s fifth book, Fish Tales was published by Kyle Cathie Ltd in 2009. Tom is an experienced chef, food writer and teacher inspiring people with his love of food.

Her second book, Seven Days in the Art World (2008), is a witty series of non-fiction narratives, revealing the inner workings of the institutions that contribute to an artist’s place in art history.
