What can I buy to remove a virus from my computer? or How Can I remove it?

I think I have a virus. All day long some website called Mencio (ipod webcasting site) I think it is keeps poppin up on my home pc, I have never seen this site before in my life. I installed McAfee and it installs everything except the anti virus part. I’ve uninstalled many programs from the computer and done a pretty good clean up of the hard drive but I am still having problems.

Some of the users on yahoo answers are copying and pasting other people’s answers, and they dont know anything about it
I used mcAfee and its not the best(i had experience with McAfee and Trojan Vundo, and it was a pain when mcafee couldn’t remove it)

   Bitdefender on line (google that info) scan takes care of majority of virus’s, also http://www.ewido.net to remove spyware.

   Ditch the Mcafee and go with Antivir by Avira, is free and much better detection than Mcafee or Nod32. I would also install the free version of SuperAntispyware.

   Dr.Web CureIt

   Advanced Windows Care is great free program that has many features that can clean your registry, find spyware, find junk files, optimze your computer etc.
